Hilaria Avitua, 96 of Angleton, Texas went to her eternal home with her family at her bedside on February 22, 2021. She was born on November 3, 1924 in Cerritos, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She is survived by her daughter Mary Lee and husband Jerry of Angleton; grandson Ruben Avitua Jr. and Gloria of Rosharon; granddaughters Susan Rodriguez and husband Paul of Angleton, Lucy Ortiz and husband Ernesto of San Luis Potosi, Sandra Banda Avitua and husband Silerio of Cerritos, Elizabeth Tigner and husband Allen of Pasadena, Jennifer Limmer and husband Clinton of Angleton; great grandchildren Esteban, Eduardo, Medium, Eric, Monserrat, Armando, Mari-Fer, Anthony, Jordan, Jase, Christian, Colton and a forever daughter in law Patsy Rodriguez. Hilaria was proceded in death by her husband Frank Avitua; sons Salvador and Ruben Avitua; grandsons Eduardo and Francisco Avitua and great grandson Frankie Mosqueda. Her joy was taking care of her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She traveled between her home in Angleton and her home in Cerritos, Mexico up until she was unable to travel any longer. She was a dedicated Catholic and will be missed by all. "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going." John 14:1-4 A private service will be held at her daughter's house, then she will be laid to rest in her hometown of Cerritos. Service Details.
