Howard Allen 'Bud' Nicholson

Howard "Bud" Allen Nicholson 82, of Angleton, Texas passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, in Freeport, Texas at his son's house surrounded by his family. Howard was born November 4, 1930 to Charles Allen and Ina May (Davis) Nicholson in Irondale, Ohio. He married the love of his life, Alta Myrl (Baker) on March 19, 1949. He was a Clay Miner for 35 years in Ohio. After the Mine closed he moved to Angleton, Texas in 1986 and went to work for Mission Trucking Co. He was a great man, loving husband and Father. He enjoyed camping and being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ina Nicholson; brothers, David Nicholson and infant, Bruce; and grandson, Brandon Lei Kreger. Howard is survived by his wife of 64 years, Alta; sons, Richard (Rich) Nicholson of Angleton, Douglas and wife, Connie Nicholson of Freeport; daughter, Donna Dukats and husband, Aivars of East Palestine, Ohio; brothers and sisters, Donnie, Jane, Dana and Dorman; grandchildren, Tracy, Jennifer, Amy, Scott, Shawn and Ashley; and 7 great-grandchildren.
