Howard Cecil Atkins Sr.

On February 8th, 2013, Howard Cecil Atkins, Sr., left this world in the arms of his Savior. Howard was born on April 20th, 1935, to Jack and Bessie Leah Atkins, in Richmond, Texas. In 1953, Howard married the love of his life, Carole Ann Holt. During their 58 Years of marriage, Carole and Howard had four children, Anna, Dina, Howard, Jr. and Leah. Howard is a beloved brother, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family and laughing with everyone around him. Howard was preceded in death by, his bride, Carole, his daughter, Anna, and his brother, Jack. He is survived by his daughter, Dina Dubose (Phil), son, Howard Atkins, Jr. (Benita), daughter, Leah Allison, Rodney, sisters, Margarete Northcutt (Frank) and Jean Spark, sister-in-law, Linda Holt Cone (Robert), brother-in-law, Bobby Holt (Kay). He is also survived by various relatives, including his grandchildren, Brandi Strother, Sherri Hudson, Aaron Gossett, Tiffany Atkins, Adam Gossett, Will Allison, Jake Allison, Howard Atkins, III and Dancey Johnson, in addition to his great-grandchildren, K.J. Ivey, Lauren Strother, Kaitlyn Ivey, Andrew Beck, Luke Hudson, Abby Forsythe, Grace Allison, Addyson Gossett, Weston Allison and Riley Allison.
