Imogene Harris

Imogene Harris passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 9, 2025 in Katy, Texas where she had been a resident at Sunrise Senior Living. Imogene was born on February 29, 1932 near Bedias, Texas in Grimes County to Irving Sandel and Pearl Carroll.

She graduated from Huntsville High School and later the Durham Business School in Houston before marrying L. Lyndel Harris on August 20, 1951 and moving to Angleton where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Angleton.

From 1955 to 1977 she and her husband owned and operated Angleton Butane Company. Before retiring she worked another ten years at the Brazoria County child support division.

Imogene is survived by her son, Steve (Patty) and granddaughter Cindy (Cody).

Services are scheduled for 11:00 am Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Angleton Cemetery Pavilion.
