Jack Carroll

Jack Carroll of Angleton passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013. He was born in Garner, Texas June 28, 1928 to Quince and Jewel Phillips Carroll. He grew up around Weatherford and Ft. Worth and graduated from Peaster High School. Jack was employed by Brown & Root for almost 40 years. After retiring, he spend his time dealing in used vehicles and caring for his rental. He was a fair and honest man, believed in hard work and loved his family very much. His parents, his brother Loron Carroll and his son James Leon Carroll preceded him in death. He is survived by Billye, his wife of 60 years, daughter Sandra Moss (John) of Houston, daughter-in-law, Susie Carroll and grandson James Taylor Carroll of Hondo, brother-in-law Tommy Scroggins of Dallas, sister-in-law, Thelma Carroll of Weatherford, nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to express their gratitude for the care given him by Dr Kwak and his team at M.D. Anderson Cancer and Dr Falcon and Dr. mark Bonnen and their respective teams of Brazosport Cancer Center. Our appreciation also goes to Hospice Care Team, especially Rhonda. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Carol petty of Holy Comforter Episcopal Church. Pallbearers will be Monroe Rieger, Ronnie McCown, Marshall Hurley, J.E. Woodward, Mack Cornett & Raymond Smith. Private burial will follow at Forest Park East in Webster. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Research for Mantle Cell Lymphoma, P.O. Box 4486 Houston, Texas 77210-4486 or the charity of choice.
