Jack Laney Rongey, 91, of Angleton passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021, in San Antonio, TX. Born in Crossett, Arkansas on December 30, 1929, Jack retired from Dow Chemical Company after 35 years. Following his retirement, he enjoyed traveling, cattle ranching, and spending time between Angleton and Liddieville, Louisiana. Jack married his beloved wife, Velma on February 13, 1951. She preceded him in death in 2015, after 64 years of marriage. He is also preceded in death by his son Raymond Rongey and daughter Toni Disiere. He is survived by his daughter Annette (Craig) Shook and children Cy (Leah) Shook and Sara Shook; his daughter Sue (Larry) Durke and children Erin Durke (Jason) Edmunds and Bryce (Emily) Durke; his son Laney (June) and children Kristy Simpson and Cole (Tabitha) Rongey; his son Reece Rongey and daughters Kayla and Jamie. He leaves 12 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Cy Shook, Bryce Durke, Cole Rongey, Tyler Rongey, George Dingee, and Kayden Simpson. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am and continue until service time at 10:00 am, on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Palms Funeral Home. Service Details.
