James Alan Potter, beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother, and Uncle, a compassionate soul known for his kind heart and unwavering dedication, passed away on November 3, 2023, at the age of 45 in Clute, Texas. Born on January 14, 1978, in Angleton, Texas, James was a cherished member of his community and his loving family.
James was a proud graduate of Angleton High School, shaping his strong work ethic and perseverance. He found his true calling as an Operator in the Chemical industry, showcasing his skill and expertise every day.
Outside of work, James was a devoted family man. His love and devotion for his wife, Christina Potter, were evident in every moment they shared. As a father to their daughter, Allison Potter, James nurtured her growth and encouraged her dreams. His role as a son to Jack and Shirleen Potter was cherished, as he remained a source of love and support for his family throughout his life. James was also a caring brother to Janece, Jeffrey, and Robert Potter, and a doting uncle to his niece, Alyssa Nowlin.
James had an infectious passion for the game of baseball. He spent countless hours attending games and supporting his favorite teams. His enthusiasm for the sport brought immense joy to those around him and created lasting memories with loved ones.
A visitation to honor James Potter's life will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023, starting at 1:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home, located at 2300 East Mulberry Angleton, Texas 77515. A heartfelt memorial service, officiated by Pastor David Catoe, will follow at 2:00 p.m., where friends and family will come together to share their memories, pay their respects, and find solace in each other's support.
In recognition of James' personal wishes, his remains will be cremated.
During this difficult time, the Potter family finds strength and comfort in the outpouring of love and support from friends, neighbors, and community members. They kindly request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity close to their hearts.
