James Buel Harris, 81, of Freeport, Texas passed away at his residence on March 4, 2016. He was born on January 19, 1935 in El Campo, Texas to Joe & Lena (Jacobs) Harris. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas with Pastor Barry Foster officiating. Burial will follow the service at 2:00p.m. in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in El Campo, Texas. The family welcomes friends for a time of visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday evening. Left to cherish James' memory is his wife, Carolyn (Morton) Harris, his sons; James Wayne Harris (Amy Harris) & Joe Allen Harris (Desiree Harris), his brother, Charles Harris, two sisters; Yvonne Newman & Nancy Mozisek, as well as his 8 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents; Joe & Lena Harris, his daughter, Robin Harris Coe, his great-grandson, Robert Allen Coe and his sister, Naomi King.
