James Clifton And Ollie Beth Douglas

June 16, 1943 — November 24, 2021

On November 24, 2021, James Clifton Douglas was reunited with the love of his life Ollie Beth Douglas, who left this world peacefully, on August 15, 2021. James and Ollie were beloved parents, grandparents, great grandparents, family members, and friends. James was born in Brownfield Texas on June 16, 1943 to Robert and Blanch Douglas. He was raised in Cisco Texas with his siblings, Clyde Douglas, Betty Moore, Paula Clark and Jerry Douglas. He began his career as a welder and became a superintendent for U.S. Contractors. James and Ollie were married for fifty wonderful years. James loved life and always had a smile because he said you can choose to be happy or unhappy. He loved to laugh, to work hard, his family and his home. Ollie was born and raised in Angleton, Texas. She was a nurse, but all the grandkids thought she was a doctor. If they got sick, they insisted on going to Grannie's to find out what was wrong. Ollie married James Douglas, on June 10, 1971. They shared in a beautiful marriage for 50 wonderful years. Ollie loved her church, Life Foursquare, in Angleton, Texas. She was especially close to her pastor, Cere, and his wife, Ann. Cere claimed Ollie as his adoptive mother. She was assured through her faith in her savior, Jesus Christ, of her destination, from this life to her eternal life. Ollie and James' lives revolved around the love of their family and helping those in need. Ollie loved crafts and her beloved husband made sure she had plenty of handmade wooden projects for fundraisers and family reunions. They shared a beautiful life together and always did everything together. Ollie and James loved their family and shared their wisdom and love with each and every one of us.
