James Clyde Benge

James Benge, 57, of Richwood TX passed away Thursday October 17 at Southeast Memorial Hermann Hospital surrounded by family. He was born on September 24, 1956 in Dallas TX. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Benge and nephew Jason Benge. Also survived by parents Grover and Janie Benge of Churchill, brother Paul Benge of Churchill, brother Nathan Benge and wife, Judy of Angleton. Plus numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. James owned and operated Riverwood Boat Storage in Churchill. James grew up and lived all his life in the Brazosport area. Known for being generous always ready to help anyone who needed it. His main interests were airplanes, cars, old tractors and politics. A special thank you the friends, family and all those who supported and cared for him since his accident and especially his friend Christene Christensen. He will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 23 at Palms Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 24 at Palms Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Owen McGee officiating.
