James Lee Easterling

August 2, 1954 — March 4, 2015

Jimmy Easterling, 60, of Angleton, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from a long battle with cancer. He was born in South Bend, Indiana on August 2, 1954 to James and Velveeta Easterling. He is preceeded in death by both parents and younger brother Johnny. He is survived by his two sisters Cathy Grames and Connie McKnight. He is also survived by his six children Marcus, Melinda, Jennipher, Jackie, James Jr, and Jocelyn (Jozz). Jimmy is also survived by his eighteen grandchildren, Dominic,. Tyler, Zachary, Colin, Bryton, Mariah, Savanna, Ashley, Lexie, Quincy, Catarina, Justin, Cheyenne, Ava, Aubrey, Delores, Anthony, and Natalee and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jimmy proudly served his country as a Soldier in the United States Army. Jimmy continued to be active in his community as a beer salesman for nearly 40 years. He never met a stranger, making numerous friends, gaining the nickname "The Legend" with his trusty sidekick "Old Red". All the while maintaining his sexy legs that won him many trophies. During the seldom time he was not working you could be sure Jimmy was hanging out with his kids and grandkids fishing from his favorite corner spot on the pier at Oyster Creek Park or just relaxing at home with his faithful dog Ma Lady watching John Wayne movies, while munching on his famous boiled peanuts. To all those who know and love Jimmy here's a final "Yo" and "Okie Doke".
