In Loving Memory Of James Robert Smith April 4, 1939 ~ September 17, 2022 James Robert Smith of Angleton went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 17, 2022. He was born on April 1st 1939. James "Jim" was a faithful husband and father. He worked for Dow Chemical for 35 years and was a dedicated servant at Second Baptist Church of Angleton. Jim was an EXPERT fisherman, lifelong hunter, and an All-State Basketball Player at Texas City High School. He is preceded in death by his father Marvin "Sang" Smith, mother Leta Mae Smith, Sister Shirley Skinner and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 64 years Beverly Ann Smith (CLEPPER), Son Jimmy and wife Dana and grandchildren Jeremy and wife Falon, Jesse and Jordyn, Son Danny and wife Angie and grandchildren Joshua and Emma.Two great grandchildren Abbey and Zoe. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Graveside service will be held next week at Midway Baptist Cemetery near Brushy Creek, Tx where Jim grew up.
