Janet Lynne Farquharson

October 13, 1953 — April 5, 2021

Janet Lynne (Mullins) Farquharson was born in Richmond, Indiana on October 13, 1953 to Effie and George Mullins. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1971. After high school she went on to earn an Associates of Business degree in college. Janet lived in Germany for a few years and loved sharing stories about her time across the world. After Germany she moved to Texas and started working at Oil Patch until she retired in 2005 to focus on Texas Assistive Devices and her animals. Janet met Ron shortly after moving to Texas and quickly fell in love. The first time they met Ron asked her if she would like to see a picture of his pride and joy. Janet, thinking he was going to show a picture of his children said yes. Then Ron pulled out a picture of Pride Furniture Wax and Joy Dishsoap. This joke was right up her ally. They got married on December 31, 1991 and lived together not only as husband and wife but best friends for 31 years. Janet was known for her love of animals and her sense of humor. She always gave the best birthday cards and took in every stray animal she came across. She's had too many animals to count over the years but there was no doubt that if she brought an animal home they would be one of the most spoiled pets you'd ever meet. She had one cat in particular named Late Arrival, LA Bob for short. While Janet was living with Ronald in their first house the cat somehow fell through the wall and that was a story she shared with a lot of people. Janet is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Anna and Bill Hoelscher, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Richard and Judy Farquharson; daughter Stephanie and husband David Weir, daughter Jennifer Neel and fiance Jerry Hartmann. Grandchildren, Brandon and his wife Lauren Patterson, Matthew Patterson, their father Clyde Patterson. Other grandchildren Kyndzi and Kamryn Weir, Hayden Neel, Jacoby and Jackson Hartmann, and her Great- grandson Wesley Patterson. As well as many loved nieces and nephews. Along with her beloved dogs Tazzy, Dinah, Daisy and Paige. Plus her bonus family Brittney Morgan, Cyndi Tribble, Kevin Brown, Johnny, Connie and Clint Rouse. Mrs. Farquharson passed away on April 5, 2021 joining her husband Ronald Farquharson; her parents Effie and George Mullins; her sister Debra Mullins; Granddad George G Mullins, along with many beloved pets. Janet will be immensely missed along with her husband Ron. We will all miss seeing the man with the hook and the lady with the hat.
