Janie Villarreal

Janie G. Villarreal, 81, of Angleton passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Cypress Woods Care Center with her family at her side. The eldest of eight children, she was born on May 1, 1936 in Victoria, Texas to Jose and Genoveva Gonzales. She enjoyed cooking & Caring for her family, crocheting, music and dancing. She is survived by her children: Joe (Barbara) Villarreal, Frank Villarreal, Pete Villarreal, Steven Villarreal, John D. Villarreal and Gracie Villarreal. 20 Grandchildren and 34 Great-Grandchildren. Siblings: Marie Gutierrez, Sophie Cardenas, Josie (Lupe) Canchola, Frances Perez, Daniel Gonzales and Lupe (Manuel) Olivares; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Erineo Gonzales, her daughter, Julie Villarreal and her son, Jesse Villarreal. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, April 26, 2018 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Palms Funeral Home.
