Jason Michael Krom

Jason Michael Krom, 42, of Angleton passed away Wednesday November 3, 2021 at Methodist Hospital of Sugar Land, Texas with his loved ones by his side. He was diagnosed with Nodular Melanoma just six weeks ago. He was born in Houston, Texas, on September 6, 1979, to Michael and Eileene Krom. He grew up in Angleton, Texas where he was a 1998 graduate of Angleton High School. While attending high school, he was an offensive guard for the Angleton High School Wildcats. Jason graduated from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas in 2002, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and Management. He was employed by Brazoria County Head Start where he was their Human Resources Director. While working for a short time in Pennsylvania, Jason met the love of his life, Paula Applegate. They were married March 3, 2007. Through their union, Jason was blessed with a daughter, Cheyenne Applegate. A few years later, they welcomed the birth of their son, Jayden Michael. Eventually, their family came to Texas and took up roots in Angleton. Jason loved football, especially his team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was an avid baseball card collector, namely Frank Thomas and Ken Griffey, Jr. One of his greatest joys of being a dad was coaching youth baseball and soccer where he helped Jayden refine skills and learn to be a team player. Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Paula Krom; daughter, Cheyenne Applegate; son, Jayden Krom; brother, Bradley Krom; and his parents Michael and Eileene Krom. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Jason is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Helen Krom, and his maternal grandparents, John and Jane Mahlon. A public viewing will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Palm's Funeral Home in Angleton.
