Jay Bob Robert

December 14, 1941 — June 23, 2015

Jay Bob Robert passed gently into the presence of God on June 23rd, 2015. He was born in Madisonville, Texas, on December 14th, 1941, to Mary Francis Harris and Walter Lee Robert. Jay Bob was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan, Texas, and Texas A&M University. Jay Bob is survived by his wife Glenna Kaiser; daughters Kelley and Rhonda (husband Gerard Vacca), son Jason (wife Jennifer); grandsons Justin Robert (wife Gabrielle), Brandon James, and Matthew Milum; granddaughters Jadyn and Jordyn; great-granddaughter Julia; sisters Jean Watts (husband Kent), and Julie Ford (husband Larry). Jay Bob was an all-around sportsman, hunter, and fisherman; high school instructor and coach; and founding owner of PoBoy's Seafood Market in Angleton, Texas. Family members are thankful for the loving and excellent care provided by Cypress Woods Care Center and A-Med Hospice staff. A graveside service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock Friday morning on the grounds of the Bryan City Cemetery, June 26th, where Reverend Ray Spradling is to officiate. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the nearby Veritas Bistro, 830 University Drive East in College Station. In lieu of customary remembrances and for those desiring, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in Mr. Robert's honor be directed to the charity of one's choice. "And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." - Ps. 23:6. Provide comfort for the family by planting a tree in memory of Jay Bob Robert, please visit our Heartfelt Sympathies Store.
