Jean Evelyn Smith

Jean Evelyn Cain Smith, 95, of Jones Creek, Texas passed away Friday, May 26, 2023, at Oak Village Healthcare in Lake Jackson, Texas. Jean was born on November 8, 1927, in Smithville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Harvey and Sara Myra Regean Cain. Her husband Raymond Edgar Smith, son Ronnie Smith, two brothers James R. Cain and Ernest Cain, five sisters Myrtle Sharp, Ella West, Jewel Bailey, Myralee Brazil, Fannie Mae Ladewig, and Lillie Mae Mitchell, and daughter-in-law Joan Smith. Survivors include her son Maurice Smith, daughter-in-law Linda Smith, granddaughter Jenni Talley and husband Jeremy, grandson John Smith, sister Earline Schultz, three great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews. Jean enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and visiting with family and friends. She will be missed by all. Services will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Palms Funeral Home, 2300 East Mulberry in Angleton with visitation from 1 to 2p and service beginning at 2p.
