Jeanette Barnes

Jeannette (Flora) Barnes, 86, of Angleton passed away on July 21, 2024. Jeannette was born on January 24, 1938 in Alvin to William Raymond and Georgie Inez (Martin) Flora.

Jeannette enjoyed her kids and grandkids, playing piano, reading her bible, watching her church, especially Jimmy Swaggert, the horse races & ice skating. She loved watching all her kids and extended kids grow up camping, hunting and fishing at the place in Angleton. She loved watching Keith with his cows and always loved listening to Greg tell her his stories. She loved her lunch dates and beach trips with Misty. She was in awe at how talented and smart all of her grandkids are. She loved telling anyone she could about their many talents and accomplishments. They made her so proud. She enjoyed visiting with her brothers and sisters. She enjoyed her many friends where she lived.

Those that preceded her in death include her parents, WR and Georgie Flora and her sons, Daniel Lamar Barnes and Randy Ray Grimm.

Those left to treasure her memory are her children, Greg Grimm (Susan), Keith Grimm (Krista), and Misty Ware (Shane). Her siblings, Durwood Flora, Torchie Flora, Raymond Flora, David Flora and Dorothy Flora Price. Her grandchildren, Mark Barrett, Wendi Knight, Kory Grimm, Kendall Garton, Kamille Grimm, and Addyson Ware. Her great grandchildren, Rebbel Knight, Roxie Knight, Makenna Barrett, Kalaya Barrett, Alyssa Isbell and Alarik Barrett. She also leaves behind her extended children, Bobby Latour, Christy Orosco, and Ron Barnhill (Jennie) and extended grandchildren, Clinton Barnhill, Kaysie Barnhill Wooten and Shelbi “Blondie” Barnhill, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home.
