Jefferson William Dees

Jefferson William Dees of Cypress, TX passed away Oct 17, 2012 from a brain aneurysm. Jeff was born on July 24, 1960 in Cameron, Milam County, Texas to William Ray and Peggy Reese Dees. He graduated in 1978 from Angleton High School. He earned an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University - the first member of his family to earn a college degree. He was a member of Angleton Fire Department and worked as a peace officer in Angleton and Clute police departments and the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office. Most recently he worked for Woodmen of the World Insurance Society. Jeff enjoyed helping family, friends and his community. He was always involved in projects - many of which were quite complex. Jeff invested himself heavily into his responsibilities as a son, father and husband. He will be missed greatly by his family - not only for what he gave of himself but also for his great sense of humor and the joy he brought to any family gathering. Jeff is survived by his wife Mary of Cypress; his son Jordan (Shirley) Dees of Ankeny, IA, daughter Taylor Dees of Moulton and son Trenton Dees of The Woodlands; his father William Dees of Angleton; his brothers Danny Dees (Carolyn) of Danbury and Patrick Dees (Michele) of Omaha, NE; his sister Kim Trevino of Pearland; nieces and nephews Derrick (Angela)Dees, Darrin (Kera)Dees, Matt Dees, Nick Dees, Kortnee (Josh) Ellington, Phillip Dees, Kathleen (Ryan) Anningson, Cody Trevino, William Trevino, and Thomas Trevino. Jeff was predeceased by his mother Peggy Dees last year. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, TX and a Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday morning also at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, TX. He will be interred at the Angleton Cemetery in a private family gathering. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeff's name to the Brazoria County Alliance for Children, PO Box 997, Angleton, TX 77516 \ would be appreciated.
