Jeraldine Bea "Jerry" Smith January 6, 1938 - February 14, 2022 Jeraldine Bea "Jerry" Smith of Houston was born on January 6, 1938, in Angleton, Texas and left this life to be with the Lord on February 14, 2022, in Houston, Texas at the age of 84. Her early years were spent in Angleton where she was a 1956 graduate of Angleton High School. A short time after finishing business school, she was employed by Dow Chemical Company where she worked for 33 years. Her job there as a secretary in the legal department inspired her to attend night school to complete her college education at the University of Houston where she received her law degree in 1969. One of her proudest achievements was being the first woman attorney ever employed by Dow. As an attorney for Dow, she worked in their offices in Midland, Michigan, Houston, and Freeport, where she retired in 1990. One of Jerry's greatest joys in life was traveling the world. She visited many countries over the years, two of her favorite locations being Italy and Hawaii, which she visited numerous times. She found great pleasure in bringing home keepsakes from her travels. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Joseph "Joe" Smith and Elsie Lorene Pye Smith; her brother, Andrew Joseph "Joe" Smith, Jr.; her nephew, Clinton Lee Bailey; and her great-nephew, Clinton Lee "Tiger" Bailey, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Louise Bailey of Lake Jackson; her brother, William T.
