Jerome Ben (JB) Weindorff, resident of Webster, Texas, and former resident of Danbury, Texas entered into eternal rest on 14 February 2022. JB was born 23 February 1931 in Decker Prairie, Texas to Ben F. and Aurelia Scherer Weindorff. He graduated from Tomball High School as part of the class of 1949. After a brief stint at the University of Houston, he was drafted into the United States Army and served honorably in the Korean War. Upon returning stateside, JB went to work for the Dow Chemical Company in Clute, where he worked for the next forty-one years. Upon retirement, JB spent the next decades working on various home improvement projects, and doing quite a bit of traveling for someone who referred to himself as a home body. Of all the places he managed to see, he stated that he liked the Cayman Islands the best, but still preferred to live along the Texas coast. JB was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lillian Stewart, a brother Raymond Weindorff, and wives Jonnye Merle Weindorff, nee Mathis, and Marion Weindorff, nee Spencer. JB is survived by son Kevin Weindorff and wife Terri with son Sean of Danbury, daughter Karin Weindorff of Webster, son Kirk Weindorff with children Benjamin and Katherine of Longview, and niece's LaVerne Stewart and Margaret Stewart of Houston. JB will always be remembered for his dry wit and sense of humor, and for his extreme dislike of anything to do with the Pittsburgh Steelers. A viewing will be held on Sunday 20 February from 3 to 5 PM at Palms Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held Monday 21 February at 11 AM, also at Palms, with a graveside in Danbury. In lieu of flowers, consider giving a donation in JB's name to your local church or Ben's charity Heifer international at Heifer.org. Service Details.
