Jesse Damian

Jesse G. Damian 1944-2016 Jesse G "Popo" Damian went home to be with the Lord on March 14, 2016 in Angleton, Texas. Preceded in death by his parents Petra and Bonifacio Damian, Sister Anita Moreno, and Brothers Celestino, Joaquin, Julio, and Jacinto Damian. Jesse leaves behind a loving family, including his beloved wife of 48 years Josie Damian, Brothers Ignacio and Raymond Damian and Sister Lupe Mendoza, sons Jesse Damian (Michelle Hernandez), and Joe and his wife Annie Damian. Grandkids Krystopher and his wife Brittaney Damian, Jade Khrystynne and her husband Bryan Welch, Michael and his wife Andrea Damian, Benjamin "BJ" Damian, Ramie Gonzales, Kailey Kaiser, Elena "Helen" Damian, Jacob "Pops" Damian. Great grandkids, Hiliana "Abiney", Laila and Emiree Damian, and Greycen and Lynkin Welch. Jesse was a native of Freeport, Texas born on October 7, 1944, but spent many years living in West University, Sugar Land and Angleton. He was a member of the parishes St. Henry's, Freeport, St. Vincent De Paul, Houston, St. Theresa, Sugar Land and Most Holy Trinity, Angleton. He was involved in many community activities, including the Knights of Columbus, The Club Unidad, St. Vincent de Paul Society, The Marine Corp League, The Brazoria County Honor Guard, The American Legion and The VFW. Jesse served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1964-1967 serving 13 months in Vietnam where he achieved the rank Sergeant. He volunteered driving Veterans to the Veterans hospital in Houston, as well as honoring fallen veterans in countless burial ceremonies with the Honor Guard. He also enjoyed donating his time and talents to many church activities. Jesse will surely be missed by his loving family and friends, and the communities in which he was dedicated to serving.
