Jesse Eugene Buxton

Jesse Eugene Buxton, 47, of Angleton, Texas died on Friday May 6, 2016 after a long battle with illness. Jesse was born on August 12, 1968 in Lorain, Ohio, and soon after moved to Texas. Jesse grew up in Victoria, Texas. He attended Stroman High School and graduated in 1987. He enjoyed playing sports and played football throughout his school years. In 1998 he met the love of his life, Kathleen Buxton. The couple was married on December 30, 2000 in Herkimer, NY. Despite a record snowfall of over 3 feet, the couple danced the night away. Jesse is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kathleen Buxton; his beloved daughter, Jordan Buxton; his son Joseph Buxton; his mother and step-father, Joan and Ray Kees of Angleton and mother-in-law and father-in-law Mary and Joseph Burdick of Herkimer, NY. HE is also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mary Anne and Michael Brelinsky, brother -in-law Christopher Burdick, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Stephanie and Daniel Burdick; six nephews Shane, Aidan, Noah, Connor, Xavier, Brody; and his niece Abby. Jesse was a devoted father and enjoyed watching them play in their activities. He also enjoyed his favorite sports teams, the Texans, Astros, and Rockets. He loved working on cars and trucks and was always willing to help a friend install a new stereo or pair of rims. As his mobility declined over the last few years, he enjoyed connecting with friends with games and electronic platforms. He loved to work with his children to update their gaming systems, an activity they enjoyed as a family. He had a loud laugh that was contagious and enjoyed sharing it with the people around him. Friends and family may call at the Palms Funeral Home located at 2300 East Mulberry in Angleton from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday May, 11. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home followed by a graveside service at the Restwood Cemetery in Lake Jackson.
