Jesse Gene Humphreys

Jesse Gene (Buddy) Humphreys, 84 of Angleton passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015. He was born on August 20, 1930 in Colorado City, TX to Jesse & Rena Humphreys. A Graveside service is scheduled for Monday, March 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Angleton Cemetery. Jesse graduated from Angleton High School as the Class of 1950 President, he went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree from Southwest Texas State Teachers College, and he also served in the US Army Signal Corps in Germany. He retired from the Texas Department of Transportation with 37 years of service. He was an Avid Outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. Jesse absolutely loved his dogs Daisy Mae, Aggie & Buster. He enjoyed meeting friends for coffee at local businesses almost every morning. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jesse is survived by his brother Monty Humphreys and wife Kitty, as well as nieces & nephews Jordan Humphreys, Teresa Gordon, Audrey Montalbano & Bradley Music. The family asks that in Lieu of any flowers, donations be made in his name to the Brazoria County SPCA.
