Jessie "Leamon" Stovall On January 16, 2013, Jessie "Leamon" Stovall was called home to be with the Lord after fighting a long battle with Parkinson's disease and Dementia. Jessie was born on May 28, 1931 to Jesse Brooks and Nettie Irene Stovall in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Jessie, also known to many as, "Leamon", "Brother", "Daddy" or "Pa-paw " was a man with a contagious smile and a warm heart. He was a loving brother, uncle, cousin, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to many. Even though he left this earth leaving few possessions behind; his TRUE wealth was in his generous heart. He was survived by his brother, Chester Curtis Stovall and his wife "Beck"; sister, Irene Peyton; brother, Holly Ray Stovall and wife Betty; brother, Earl Hilton Stovall and wife, Sylvia; sister, Helen Louise Rivers and husband, Alton; sister, Priscilla "Chi Chi" Sullivan and husband Jimmy; sister Linda Roberts and husband Edward, all of Mississippi; also survived by his four daughters: Debbie Thurman and husband, Bob of Angleton, Texas; Jessica Caldwell, and husband George of Brownwood, Texas; Billie Dean Carr and husband Robby of Angleton, and Teresa Stovall Foss of Freeport; grandchildren: Tammy Sanchez and husband Manny; Laura Alexander and husband Bruce; Leslie Barker; Lisa Mapel and husband Steven, Ryan Carr and wife Christina; Aireona and Taylor Ramirez; great-grandchildren, Jordyn Barker, Ethan Blake, Tristen and Tyler Sanchez, Tranton Breaux, Logan Alexander, Kylie, Karys, and Carson Carr, and numerous nieces, nephews and loving family and friends. Jessie Stovall is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Nettie Stovall; brothers, James "Benny" Stovall, William Lee Stovall, Homer Way Stovall and Sam Lamar Stovall; and sister, Minnie Sue "Sudie" Stovall. The family wishes to thank to all the staff at "The Legacy Campus" Nursing Home in Bay City, Texas for their loving care of Jessie. The Reverend C.J. Waller, Jr., Chaplin of the Brazoria County Sherriff's Department, will officiate the services held at Palms Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Monday January 21, 2013. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday evening at Palms Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Gonzalez, Jr. Johnson, Jimmy Breazeale, Manny Sanchez, Bruce Alexander, George Caldwell & Larry Castellow. Interment will follow at Angleton Cemetery, Angleton, Texas.
