He was born to Joe Dale and Carolyn (Barth) Russell in Wharton, Texas on June 21, 1961. Per Jimmie's wishes there will be no services. His ashes will be spread at sea on a future date. Jimmie was a life long resident of the Brazoria/Galveston counties. He was a member of the Sweeny Church of Christ. On February 14, 2008, Jimmie married the love of his life, Beth Lena Dement Russell in West Columbia, Texas. Growing up he and siblings lived the life of true fisherman, they spent their summers fishing and shrimping on their parents shrimp boat. Jimmie also loved oystering. They enjoyed their seafood. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Beth Lena Dement Russell, his mother, Carolyn Landreneau, his children: Ashley Russell and James Russell, his sister, Debbie Richmond, his brother, Mark Russell. Also left to cherish his memory is his grandchildren: Ivan and Madison Russell, Corbin Lear, as well as his numerous family and friends that will keep his memory alive.
