Jimmie Wayne Dobbs

February 3, 1940 — April 18, 2014

Jimmie Wayne Dobbs, 74, of Angleton, Texas passed away April 18th, 2014 after a yearlong fight with brain cancer. He was born in Coleman, Texas on February 3rd, 1940. He moved to Sandy Point, Texas in 1960. In the 1970's he moved to Angleton and spent the rest of his life there. He owned and operated a barber shop in Rosharon, Texas for the majority of his life, finally closing it down in the 1990's. Children who had their first haircuts there would often return through their adult years to get haircuts and visit with him. He was known to his family as Uncle Jimmie and he always had a smile and a kind heart. He will be sorely missed by all those who had the pleasure of having known him. He loved a good game of Chess and never ran out of tales to tell. Even though he lost his leg in a vehicle accident at a very early age he was never bitter about life and believed in enjoying it. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stella & Milo Dobbs, brothers; Eugene Dobbs & Jesse Dobbs, sisters; Patsy Robbins, Elsie Randall, brother-in-law; Farrell Randall, nephew Joe Pat Robbins, nephew-in-law Charlie Campbell.
