Jimmie Ruth Bledsoe Petter Jimmie Ruth Bledsoe Petter, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend was called home to her Lord Jesus Christ in heaven on March 22, 2014. Ruth was born in Madisonville, Texas on April 27, 1930 to parents Jim Rogers and Irene Bledsoe. A beautiful woman with a loving, selfless, giving, and kind heart. She was wed to John Petter, Jr on September 28, 1947. She was blessed with two loving daughters and one loving son who gave her six wonderful grandchildren and eight amazing great-grandchildren that were the loves-of-her-life whom she truly adored. Ruth enjoyed a lifetime of love, laughter, and family. She was a caregiver to all her children which made her life joyous and complete. Ruth enjoyed fishing and boating, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Lake Jackson. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband John Petter, Jr.; Parents; brother, Roger Dale Bledsoe; and sister, Dorothy Mae Monceaux. Ruth is survived by her loving daughters, Kathy David and husband Bill of Angleton, Texas; Judy Nuckols and husband, Monty of Lake Jackson, Texas; and loving son, John Petter, III and wife, Margarita of Rosharon, Texas; niece, Alice Rodgers and husband, Gary of Lake Jackson, Texas and their daughter, Leslie and husband, Andy Myers; nephew, Gene West and wife, Cindy and their daughter, Lisa Marie of Sweeny, Texas; grandchildren, Janet and husband, Robert Hernandez of Missouri City, Texas; Shanna Nuckols of Lake Jackson, Texas; John Petter, IV and wife, Reyna of Missouri City, Texas; Heath Nuckols and wife, Nicole of San Marcos, Texas; Tracy Dawn David and husband, Jared Watson of Round Rock, Texas; Lisa David and husband, Jerry Fryer, III of Round Rock, Texas; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Rebecca, Sarah, Ashley, Mia, Chase, Brevin, and Tristan. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 11:00 am at Palms Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Palms Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Angleton Cemetery following the service. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who cared for Ruth; also, IPH Hospice Care, Oak Village Healthcare, and Elm Croft Senior Living.
