Jimmy D. Walters

Jimmy Walters, 73 of Angleton passed away Monday, February 17, 2014. He was born May 23, 1940 to Sidney & Wanda Walters in Pasadena, Texas. Jimmy was a member and Deacon Emeritus at Northway Baptist Church. He enjoyed singing and reading the Bible, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his family. He spent 9 years in Dothan, Alabama where he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Jimmy was truly loved by all. Visitation will be held at Palms Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at Northway Baptist Church in Angleton at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2014. Burial will follow in Angleton Cemetery. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Walters & Wanda Quinn Merrell; granddaughters, Stephanie Diane Peltier and Angel Byrd; and sister, Elise Smalley. He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne; children, Diane Peltier and her daughter, Melanie Peltier, James Walters and wife, Tonya and their children, Krystin & Kyle Walters, Denise Cargill and her children, Kaysie Bradburn & husband Lee and their child, Jude, and Cade Cargill, Christi Byrd & husband, Michael and their children, Bailey and Ashlyn Byrd, Brandi Petree and husband Aaron and their children, Shaylee Ward, Nicholas, Noah & Carson Petree; Ricky Price and wife, Debbie and their children, Angela Laird & Steven, Ricky Price, Jr. and wife Kim, Elizabeth Price & Kelly Price, his brother, Lynwood Walters & wife Nancy; sisters, Debbie Underwood & Roy Jones, and Shirley Wallace and husband, Michael, as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
