John Erwin Dobbs

John E. Dobbs, Sr. was born August 5th, 1943 in Knoxville, Tennessee and died December 5, 2018 in Pearland, Texas. He was a resident of Lake Jackson, Texas for many years. He is survived by two sons and a stepson: John E. Dobbs, Jr. (Margaret) of Monroe, Louisiana, Gary C. Dobbs (Pamela) of Bay City, Texas, and David Reichart of Lake Jackson, Texas. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his adoptive parents Stephen Calvin Dobbs and Rena Elma Dobbs, his wife Diane Dobbs, brother Stephen Dobbs and grandson John Robert Dobbs. The family would like to express gratitude for the kindness of the Lake Jackson community toward Mr. Dobbs. In his last few years of living with Alzheimer's Disease the places he frequented (sometimes several times per day) treated him like family and expressed concern for him. Mr. Dobbs passed away at Autumn Leaves of Pearland, who took excellent care of him during the last year of his life. Also Resolutions Hospice that oversaw his last months of care.
