John Richard Keistler Jr., age 69, passed away on January 4, 2025. John was born on August 31, 1955, in Freeport, Texas to John Richard Keistler Sr. and Margaret Jones Keistler. He graduated from Brazoswood High School in 1973. He attended the University of Texas in Austin, Texas and graduated in 1977.
He was very active in his church and his community for many years. He ran the blood drives at Saint Michaels and he was so pleased when lots of donors came to donate the gift of life. He was on Pastoral Council, attended many bible studies, has been a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years. He also attended Monday Night Rosary group at St. Michaels for years and was very passionate about reading his bible, and praying the Rosary.
His profession was a Radiology Manager for 40 plus years, he traveled around the country teaching people how to set up and use the MRI, X-Ray, CT, and Pet Scan machines. He was very proud to have worked in many different hospitals and helped so many people.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Gaylin Black; and his niece, Stephanie Black.
A memorial mass will be held in his honor on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Rosary at 10:30 a.m., and funeral at 11:00 a.m.
Gifts can be given to St. Vincent de Paul, at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Lake Jackson, Texas.
