John Robert Reyes, 34, of Angleton passed away on August 5, 2024. John was born on October 28, 1989, to his parents in Houston, Texas. John was a lifelong resident of Angleton, Texas. John was a kind and loving soul who found joy in nature, fishing, hunting, sitting by the fire, and riding his bike. His love for the outdoors was only matched by his devotion to his family, especially his children. His passion for life extended to playing video games and cherishing time spent with loved ones.


John leaves behind his parents, Diane M. Garza and her husband, Esbardo Garza, his father, Gerald Reyes, Sr., his children: Jade Alyse Reyes, John Robert Reyes, Jr., and Jo-Jo Isaiah Reyes. He is also survived by his brothers, Gerald E. Reyes, Jr., Joey Zepeda Reyes, his sister Elianna Celeste Garza, and his grandparents: Edward and Mary Garcia, Gloria M. Lemaster, and Genaveba Garza.

John was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Salvador Reyes, Sr. and Esbardo Garza, Sr.


A memorial service to honor and celebrate John's life will be held on August 17, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Palms Funeral Home. In remembrance of his love for the outdoors, the service will also include elements that reflect his interests and hobbies.


We invite all friends, family, and loved ones to join us in commemorating John's life and legacy at the service. May his memory live on in our hearts forever.
