John William 'Johnny' Visor

John William Visor, 57, of Magnolia took his place at the feet of Jesus on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Born to Les and Rose Visor in Freeport, Texas on August 19, 1960; "Johnny" was third in momma's "stair-step" of adventurous "Visor Boys". Johnny had a passion for all things in nature and a love of hunting, fishing, and caring for animals. He had a true gift for landscape design and construction, spending his life working with his hands to vividly give life to others visions. Most importantly, Johnny accepted Jesus as a young man and loved his Lord and Savior with his whole heart. Johnny shared this same love and kindness that filled his spirit with his family and friends. Johnny's life is celebrated and survived by his wife Debbie Amason of Magnolia; mother, Rose Visor of Angleton; brothers Ray and wife Debi, Bruce and wife Teri, all of Angleton; and brother Robert and wife Terry of Bisbee, AZ. Johnny was a proud dad to Michele Zelenske, Blaine Amason and wife Misti, and Tyler Amason. His grandchildren Karleigh, Jesse, Miguel and Joshua will always remember him as the best PawPaw in the world, and his many nieces and nephews will remember the place they held in his heart. He is preceded in death by his father Les Visor, who met him at the gate of Heaven. Johnny is a husband, son, brother, PawPaw, uncle, and friend that will be missed tremendously. A celebration of life is planned for Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Second Baptist Church in Angleton, TX. The family will receive guests at 4:00 p.m., with services scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. All are invited to attend dinner and fellowship immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers, the family has created a memorial fund at Texas Gulf Bank in his name to assist with final expenses.
