son, brother, and friend, who left us on December 24, 2024, in Lake Jackson, Texas, at the age
of 52. Born on September 19, 1972, in Houston, Texas, John lived a life full of laughter, love, and
unforgettable memories.
Known for being the life of the party, John had an innate ability to bring joy to every gathering.
His infectious laughter and playful spirit made him a beloved figure among family and friends.
John was truly a social butterfly, bringing people together with his warm personality. His vibrant
spirit shone brightly in everything he did, from fishing trips to Bar-B-Que gatherings, where he
always ensured good times were had by all.
John was deeply proud of his career as an electrician, a profession that allowed him to
showcase his dedication and skill. He took great pleasure in his work, and his colleagues
admired his commitment and attitude. His spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him as
we remember not just a skilled tradesman but a kind and generous soul who made every
moment significant.
John is survived by his beloved mother, Maria Ortiz Ybarra; brothers, Pedro Ybarra and Phillip
Ybarra; sisters-in-law, Mari and Frances; nieces and nephews Melissa, Joshua, Sapphire,
Christian, Heaven, Izaiah, and Ashlyn ap a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
His legacy of laughter and love will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing
him.
A memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held at a future date, with details to be
announced. Friends and family are encouraged to join in honoring the joyous spirit of John,
sharing stories and memories that reflect the warmth he brought to our lives.
As we reflect on the light he brought into the world, we hold onto the understanding that John
will always be remembered for his laughter, kindness, and the love he shared so freely. He will

John was preceded in death by: his father, Johnnie Ybarra, and his sister, Hermelinda Lindsey.
