Jose "Papa Joe" Alfredo Molina, 69, of Angleton Texas, passed away on January 13, 2021 peacefully with his family by his side. "Papa Joe" was born the oldest of nine children. He was born on November 30, 1951, in Mercedes, Texas. He was raised with his beautiful family in Weslaco, Texas. Papa Joe met his loving wife Olga they married and moved to Brazoria County to begin their lives together. They started their family and settled in Angleton Texas. Papa Joe left the Rio Grande Valley and moved to Brazoria County to take a position with Texas Department of Criminal Justice where he worked a prison guard, he then took a position at DOW Chemical as a process operator in Freeport, Texas. He retired from Dow Chemical and then worked after retirement at O'Reily Auto Parts in Angleton, Texas. Papa Joe was blessed to make lifelong friends in the community that he would consider family. Papa Joe loved his family and knew no stranger. He enjoyed spending time with his family, attending his grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events. Papa Joe loved to spend time with his family and friends sharing a meal making jokes. He was a beautiful soul that touched many lives through his journey. Papa Joe was a man that gave and sacrificed for his family and friends. He was an Avid Texan Fan, and loved sports. His wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his entire world. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Enemencio and Irene Molina, his father Alfredo Molina, in laws Alonzo and Maria de Jesus Gonzalez. Left to cherish, celebrate his memory and legacy, his mother Francisca Molina, loving wife Olga Molina, eight brothers and sisters, Ruben Molina (Sylvia), Estela Palomo (George),Maricela Molina, Thelma Cavazos (Gerardo), David Molina (Patty), Juan Molina (Letty), Nora Guardiola (Gilbert), Annabell Molina, three children Veronica Molina Jones (DJ), Erica Molina Villarreal (Tomas), Jose Daniel Molina (Alison), eight grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a host of other family, and friends. A public visitation for friends and family will be held at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 2-4pm followed by a service officiated by Pastor Tovar. A second service will be held at Family Life Ministries in Weslaco, Texas on January 19, 2021. A public viewing from 11-12, followed by a service from 12-1pm. Papa Joe will then be laid to rest in a graveside service at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Weslaco, Texas. Due to covid regulations, space will be limited, and masks required. Service Details.
