Jose Balboa Hernandez, Jr., 87, of Freeport, TX formally from Flint, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 23, 2014. He was born on June 2, 1927 to Jose & Dionisia Hernandez in Corpus Christi, TX. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Palms Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Houston National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. A Public visitation is to be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 5-6:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jesse Hernandez, Jose Hernandez, Luciano Hernandez, Dennie Hernandez, Jose Antonio Hernandez and Andres Munoz. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and the Eagles. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Adam Hernandez, daughter; Gloria Mata, grandsons; Roger Dale Edgar Jr. and Bobby Ray Gonzales, son-in-law; Roger Dale Edgar Sr. Jose is survived by his children; Jesus Hernandez and wife Arlene, Jose Hernandez and wife Susie, Luciano Hernandez and wife Anna, Rene Hernandez, Dennie Hernandez and wife MaryAnn, Sulema Edgar, San Juanita Hernandez, Genevieve Guillien and Maria Gonzales and husband Ramiro, 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren as well as numerous family and friends.
