Jose Javier Navarro "Daddy Pa", 63 of Freeport, TX passed away surrounded by his children on August 17, 2015 in Houston, TX. He was born February 12, 1952 in Candela, Coahuila Mexico to Benito Navarro and Socorro Samaniego. He was preceded in death by his parents, and ex- wife and mother of his children, Mary Ernestina Navarro. Jose's life was devoted to his children, grandchildren and many others who were lucky enough to call him friend. He will always be remembered for his humor, his pride in his children and the many, many stories that he loved to share. He had a passion for spending times with those he loved, whether it be around the kitchen table or singing his heart at in karaoke. He was the best father, grandfather and friend anyone could ask for. We will surely feel his absence in our lives but our comforted by the wonderful memories and the many lessons he taught us. Jose is survived by his loving family, his daughter, Yuri Navarro; sons, Joseph Navarro, Xavier Navarro, Michael Martinez and wife Casey, and Russell Martinez and wife Shelley; Sister, Guadalupe Mendoza, niece and nephew; and five grandchildren, Michael Martinez II, Hailey Smith, Riley Martinez, Jeremy Martinez, and Reagan Martinez. A funeral service in his honor will be held on August 20, 2015, 11 a.m., Palms Funeral Home, 2300 E. Mulberry, Angleton, TX. Graveside Service to follow at Angleton Cemetery. Jose es sobrevivido por su family, su hija Yuri Navarro; hijos Joseph Navarro, Xavier Navarro, Michael Martinez y esposa Casey, Russell Martinez y esposa Shelly; Su Hermana Guadalupe Mendoza, sobrina y sobrino, y sus cinco nietos, Michael Martinez II, Hailey Smith, Riley Martinez, Jeremy Martinez and Reagan Martinez.
