Jose Luis Lopez Jr.

Jose Luis Lopez, Jr., Chaparro, 42, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019. He is preceded in death by his mother, Melissa Marie Garza and grandparents, Papa Chuy, Mama Nina, and Juana Hilda Lopez. Left to cherish his memory are his father, Jose Luis Lopez, Sr.; brothers, Jose Nasario Lopez and Jose Alfredo Lopez; sisters, Maria Victoria Ramirez, Marie Guadalupe Lopez, Maria Isabel Lopez; and a host of other family and dear friends. Chaparro was born on July 27, 1977, in Galveston, Texas. He enjoyed fishing and loved his family. He was adored by his close family members who, whenever they got the chance, would take him to the movies, shopping, bowling, and out to eat (which was his favorite). Chaparro looked forward to the weekends with his dad because he knew that he would be able to spend time with his close family and enjoy plenty of amazing homemade meals. He viewed and treated all the female role models in his life as if they were his own mother. Chaparro was a very kindhearted and family-oriented man who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation for Jose will be held at Palms Funeral Home, Angleton, Texas, on Monday, August 5, 2019, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a rosary beginning at 6:00 pm. The funeral mass will take place at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, Clute, Texas, on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at 10:00 am, with Father Jim Lynes officiating. Interment to follow at Angleton Cemetery.
