Jose Rosario Cancino Sr.

Jose Rosario Cancino Sr. 75, of Clute, Texas went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2015. He was born in Matehuala, San Luis Potosi, Mexico on October 7, 1939. Jose became an area resident in 1967. He was an insulator/metal-man by craft and worked in the local industry for 30 years. He was a hard worker and instilled this quality in all of his eight children. Jose loved fishing and shared his love for the sport with all five of his sons. In his leisure time he enjoyed cruising in his truck and having breakfast with friends and family at local restaurants. He was a family man and a wonderful father. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6:30 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Clute, Texas. Interment will follow at Angleton Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sabina Leija Cancino, parents, Manuel and Macrina Martinez Cancino, brother, Jose Sergio Cancino, sister, Amelia Cancino Gonzales, son-in-law Ralph Soria, daughter in-law, Rosemary Cancino and great-grandson, Zachary Cancino Jr. He is survived by his eight children; Daughters, Oralia Caudillo and husband Jesus, Susana Martinez and husband Luis, and Maria Soria. Sons, Roy Cancino Sr., Jose L. Cancino Sr. and wife Margo, Roland Cancino Sr. and Guadalupe, Raul Cancino and wife Brenda, Jose R Cancino Jr. and wife Liz, His brothers; Jose Antonio Cancino, Gonzalo Cancino, Mario Cancino and wife Rose, Andres Cancino, Tony Cancino and wife Eva, Manuel Cancino Jr. and wife Lupe. His twenty-two grandchildren; Jesse, Kassandra and Gabriella Caudillo, Jennifer, Roy Jr. and Kayla Cancino, Jose L. Cancino Jr., Karina Cancino and Joseph Rosario Cancino, Roland Jr., Kristin, and Zachary Cancino, Alesandra and Anelisa Cancino, Marissa, Michael and Mikalah Martinez, Ashley Cancino-Bedell, Emily and Lesley Cancino, Nicholas and Jacob Soria, great grandson, Jae Rey Cancino Gallardo, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. Serving as Pallbearers are: Jesse Caudillo, Roy Cancino Jr., Roland Cancino Jr., Zachary Cancino, Jose L. Cancino Jr., Joseph Rosario Cancino, Michael Martinez, Nicholas Soria, and Jacob Soria.
