Jose Angel Valencia

Jose Angel Valencia, 89 of Angleton passed away on September 30, 2024. He was born in Harlingen, Texas on August 2, 1935 to Jose and Leonora Lopez Valencia.

Jose married Maria Trinidad Mendoza and together they built a life they cherished until her passing in 2017. Jose was of the catholic faith and a member of Our lady of Guadalupe church. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and playing his accordion. He cared for his disabled daughter and son and loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Maria, his brother and sister in law, Tiofilo & Josie Valencia, brothers, Ricardo Valencia & Pancho Valencia and brother in law, Jose Martinez.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Frank Valencia, Robert Valencia, Andrew Valencia & wife Henrietta, Marie L. Jimenez & husband George, & Maria G. Valencia; brothers and sisters, Rosa Azaldua, Virginia Martinez, Delphina Gordon & husband Kenneth, Natividad Valencia & wife Beatrice, Benito Valencia & wife Sylvia, daughter in laws Zulema Valencia & Teresa Valencia; his grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Kayla, Brenda, Ismael, Katelyn, & Megan; and his great grandchildren, Kataleya, Daniel, Rogue, Adriana, Isla, Robert, Dax, Coda, Axel, & Elias.

Visitation will be on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton. Funeral Services will be on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 1pm, with burial to follow at Angleton Cemetery.
