Joseph Gale Seat was born in Danbury, TX on March 27, 1984. As a child he enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, baseball and fishing. He showed pigs and heifers at the Brazoria County Fair. He graduated high school from Danbury High School in 2002. After graduating, he enjoyed traveling the southern states, making his way to Florida where he worked on a commercial fishing boat. When he made his way back to Texas, he successfully completed a machinist and millwright certificate program. After graduation, he began working for McGill Maintenance. Joseph always had a desire to serve his country and finally made the commitment and enlisted in the Army in 2009. While in the Army, he was a 91B (wheeled vehicle mechanic). He worked on pretty much anything with wheels. John Deere gators to MRAP, armored vehicles, military tractor trailers and everything in between. He received an honorary discharge in 2012. He moved back to Danbury and worked as a machinist at RPM and then took a diesel mechanic position for an offshore project off the coast of Africa. After returning home, he worked at Danbury School District in the maintenance department for a period of time. Joe was very much a rambler and did not like to be tied down at any given time. He was loved by many and could make friends anywhere. He had an infectious laugh and smile. He was the person that you could depend on to lend a helping hand in your time of need. He would give you the shirt off his back and his last dime. He loved to cook and eat, boy did he love to eat. His favorites were really anything his Momma put in front of him and could he put down some crawfish like no other. He enjoyed being on the water fishing with his dad. He loved country music and doing karaoke with family and friends. But his biggest accomplishment and joy in life was spending time with his daughter, Kaelyn. He loved riding horses with her and helping her at youth rodeos, teaching her to fish and attempting to catch her at pitching lessons and cheering her on while she pitched on the softball field. He will always be smiling down on her. On March 27, 2022, Joe went home to be with the Lord. He passed away in Danbury doing what he loved with his daughter. He was welcomed to Heaven by his cousins, Keith Nolen and Craig Hannum, grandmothers Shirley Sonnier and Helen Sonnier. He is survived by his father and mother David and Colleen Seat of Danbury, Texas, his daughter Kaelyn Gail Seat from Danbury, his sister Brittany Dilleshaw (husband Brandon), niece Carlie Dilleshaw, and his grandparents Leslie Gale and Grace Seat and Ruston Sonnier. He also has many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
