Joseph ‘Joe' Peltier passed away on Sunday morning at 2am. He was born in Bay City, Texas on June 27, 1930, one of ten children born to Buck and Agnes Peltier. Joe was raised on the family rice farm in Danbury. He graduated from Danbury High School and served in the army during the Korean War. He was a lifetime farmer and rancher in Danbury. He was an avid outdoorsman and taught many to hunt and fish and enjoy the great outdoors. He was president and lifetime member of Optimist International and member of the Knights of Columbus. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cathy Peltier, sons Sam, Roger and his wife Donese, Henry and his wife Lisa, Rusty, Mark, Scott and his wife Toni. He is also survived by his sisters Mildred and her husband Charles, Mary Knape, sister-n-law Joyce Peltier and lastly, his brother Tim and his wife Inez. Joe has 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and numerous cousins and friends. Visitation will be Friday March 26, 2021 from 7-8 with a Rosary at 8:00 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Danbury, Tx Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Saturday March 27, 2021 at St Anthony's with burial in St Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearer's will be Joe's Grandsons; Jason Peltier, Johnathan Peltier, Vincent Hairston, Matthew Hairston, Aiden D'amico, & John Wendel. For the safety of all attending, mask are required and social distancing is encouraged. Service Details.
