Joyce Marie Coley

Joyce Marie Bonneau Coley, 80, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, August 28, 2021, following a difficult struggle with Covid Pneumonia at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Joyce was born May 5, 1941 to Paul and Inez Bonneau at her home in Angleton, Texas. Her brothers and sisters chose her beautiful name. She grew up with nine siblings and dearly loved each and every one of them. Her sister Dorothy Finley (deceased) was her best friend throughout their lifetime. A life-long resident, Joyce graduated from Angleton High School in 1959. She worked for Ma Bell in Houston, Saunders Music, and then Angleton Amusement Company, where she proudly sold the first record to a customer. She was known for her joyful demeanor and her contagious laugh. Joyce always carried a smile on her face that would light up anytime she spoke about her family. Joyce was a devout Christian whose love for God was immeasurable. Joyce was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She had five children, two stepchildren, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of dearly loved nieces and nephews. Joyce is survived by her children Chris Morris and wife Allison (parents of Brendan, Ashley, Kevin and Audrey), Melissa "Lisa" Waite, John Coley, JoAnn Coley (mother of Devon, Desmond, Jalyn and Jada); stepchildren Adrienne Coley Dison and Audrey Coley. She is also survived by grandchildren Christina Kisling and Marissa Morris (mother of Aubree, Ethan and Uriyah). Joyce is survived by her brothers, Robert "Bobby" Bonneau (Joan) and James "Jimmy" Bonneau; sisters-in-law, Margaret Bonneau and Kelly Bonneau; brother-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Finley; and former sister-in-law Peggy Bonneau, who was a very dear friend to her for many years. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Inez Bonneau; her husband, Almer "Kenneth" Coley; her son, Brian Anthony Morris; her siblings Mary Louise Garrett, Josephine "JoAnn" Bonneau, Donald Bonneau, Pauline Sebesta, Marjorie "Margie" Foudray, Paul Edward Bonneau and Dorothy Finley. Dual visitation will be with Brian Anthony Morris at Palms Funeral Home on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 11 AM. Services will begin at 1 PM. Masks are requested. A wonderful tribute to Joyce and Brian would be to get vaccinated. Pallbearers will be Paul Sebesta, Glenn Foudray, David Foudray, Devon Coley, Desmond Randall and Miguel Arellano. Service Details.
