It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Juan Ybarra Villarreal, 76, a beloved member of the Angleton community. Born on February 29, 1948, in Angleton, Texas. Juan lived a life defined by his compassion and kindness towards others. In his younger years he was a dedicated construction worker, known for his hard work and dedication to his craft.


Juan was a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures, whether it was taking care of stray animals, enjoying a leisurely walk, or simply swinging on his front porch swing. He cherished these moments of tranquility. Those who knew him best remember him as an all-around good guy, always ensuring his family felt loved and ending every conversation with a heartfelt "God Bless You".


In his final days, Juan was surrounded by the love of his family. He is survived by his siblings; Manuel Villarreal (Victoria), Robert Villarreal (Nellie), Nolberto Villarreal (Mary), Jesus Villarreal (Alejandra), Carlos Villarreal (Wanda), Clara Zavala (Max), Maria Acevedo, Mary Ann Ng (Wegin), Beatrice Villanueva, Solia Gutierrez (Mauro), and Adela Villarreal. Juan is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him terribly.


A Mass in memory of Juan Ybarra Villarreal will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Prior to the Mass, friends and well-wishers are invited to attend a visitation at Palms Funeral Home on the previous evening, Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary ceremony commencing at 7:00 p.m.


As we reflect on Juan's life and the impact, he had on those around him, we remember his kind spirit and the love he shared with all who knew him. May his memory be a blessing, and may he rest in eternal peace.
