Juanita Henry

April 4, 1937 — June 9, 2021

Juanita Henry went to be with John and a host of dogs, and maybe a cat or two, on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from Country Care in Angleton, TX. She is now happy and whole after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her son J. Patrick Henry and wife Kathy of Angleton, daughter Jeanne M. Henry, EdD of Oceanside, NY. Juanita doted on her Grandsons David Henry and partner Manfred Soto, and Sean Henry, all of Houston. Juanita taught her children the value of education, gaining her Bachelor's and Master's degrees as her son and daughter finished their education. Juanita taught for several years and spent a long retirement with her husband of over 60 years, John. Juanita volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, and the Angleton Danbury Hospital Auxiliary. She read to students at Frontier Elementary, and was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church. Juanita taught her family that our purpose was to make the world a better place for all God's children. She stressed that every person had worth and value. She preached what Sam Houston said, "Do right and suffer the consequences." She was proud of her son, daughter, daughter-in-law, and grandsons as they put her lessons into action. The Family would like to thank the staff of Carriage Inn and the many health care professionals who worked with Juanita with kindness and professionalism at Jennie Sealy, Kindred, and Country Village Care. A visitation is planned on Friday, June 18th from 4 to 6 with an informal memorial service at 6pm at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton. Juanita would have wanted you to be in comfortable clothes. The family would ask that donations be made to the St. John Building fund in lieu of flowers. Service Details.
