Kay Bandy Koneschik Scarcella

Kay Bandy Koneschik Scarcella, 82, of Danbury TX, went to her heavenly home on May 30, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Kay was born on March 8, 1941, to Arvin and Dorothy Bandy, in Highlands, TX. She married Gene Koneschik in 1956. They moved the family to Danbury in 1970 and this would be the place they called home. After Gene passed away in 2002, Kay met Butch Scarcella in 2005, and they married in 2006. Kay was beautiful inside and out. She loved to hunt, fish, go dancing, play cards, and go on cruises. She also enjoyed having her family over for get togethers and holidays. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ted Bandy, and Gene and Butch. Survivors include daughter June Rongey (Laney), sons Terry Koneschik and John Koneschik, Grandchildren Jacob Dozier, Amy Dozier, Jessica Lewis (Trent), Benjamin Campagna (Sarah), Travis Koneschik (Kristen), and numerous great-grandchildren. Heartfelt thanks to Jan Rhyne, who provided care and companionship to mom for the last 4 years and became a special member of our family. Also, thank you to Sarah, Bella, and Ashley of Choice Hospice for the exceptional care our mom received from them. Visitation will begin at 1 pm with the memorial service following at 2 pm on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Palms Funeral Home.
