Kenneth D. Yates

Kenneth D. Yates, 73, of Angleton TX went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. He was born on December 5, 1945 in Freeport, TX to Jasper & Berenice Yates. Kenny was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a US Army Veteran who loved sports, coaching his children's baseball teams and was an avid Sports Memorabilia collector and loved tinkering with computers. Ken was also a member of First Baptist Church in Angleton. He began his work career in the U.S. Army from 1965-1972 and then continued at Dow Chemical in Freeport, TX from 1972 to 1996. He then worked for Radian and URS from 1997 to 2010. Funeral Service is scheduled for Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 10:00 am in Palms Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Houston National Cemetery at 1:30 pm. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister in law Pat Eickman and Aunt Eleanora Tracy. Kenny is survived by his wife of 52 years Peggy J. Yates, sons Kevin Yates and wife Stacy, Patrick Yates and wife Robin, grandchildren Jeffrey, Jack, Zoe and brother Ronald Yates and wife Elva and niece Denise Damian as well as numerous other family and friends.
