Kimberly Diane (Green) Guzman-Lydick

March 31, 1976 — February 28, 2024

Kimberly Diane (Green) Guzman Lydick, passed away at the age of 47 on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, after a long battle with Triple Negative Breast Cancer.


Kimberly is preceded in death by grandparents, Jack and Hazel Irene Green, Beatrice Schneider, and Gary Norwood. She is survived by her parents, Sr. Capt. William Robert (HFD Ret.) and Terry Lynn (Norwood) Green; her loving husband, Daniel Richard Lydick and his family; children Kaelynn Marie and Jenna Grace Guzman, and their father, Joseph Guzman; sisters, Lyndsie Janelle (Green) Smith, and Nicole Joelle (Green) Jordan; nephews, Robbie, Jack, Jesse, and Connor Smith, Logan and Clayton Rhoads; nieces, Hailey Green, Afton and Vaughn Jordan; lifelong best friend Mary (Salcedo) Green;  godchildren Mackenzie Marie and Sebastian Charles Green; and many other family and friends across the world.


Kimberly was born in Houston, Texas on March 31, 1976. On May 3, 1997, and January 30, 2003, she welcomed two beautiful daughters, who became the most important part of her life. She then graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2003 with a degree in Music Therapy. Her missing piece, Daniel, came in her life in 2014 and wedded on April 23, 2023.


Kimberly was a devoted mother, wife, Christian, and teacher. She was in Girl Scouts as a child and that led to a life of service for the organization in Houston, Texas. She had a passion for music and teaching the youth. She was a Christian woman and attended many church services with family at Heights Baptist. Kim will be remembered most for her ability to connect with people. Her sassy, spunky, loud, caring, and genuine soul will be missed by so many.

10:30am Visitation with family and friends


11am Celebration of Life Service


Fellowship and light bites will follow in the Fellowship Hall.


After the Fellowship Hall the family will be going to the “Big House” on the church property. Friends and family are welcome to stop by, change clothes and relax and tell stories. We will probably be at the house until around 6pm.
