Larenda Sue Nicar passed away peacefully on Friday June 23rd after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Larenda is preceded in death by her parents Laura Fay Dannhaus and Carl Gormey and sister Regina Dannhaus. She is survived by her loving husband Henry Nicar, son Harley, daughter Nikia (husband Justin Willis) and grandchildren Emma Jacobs, Haley Nicar, Patrick Jacobs, and Fisher Nicar. Her father Lee Fred Dannhaus and brothers Tommy Dannhaus and Carl James Gormey. Larenda was born in Freeport, Texas in May of 1949 to Laura Fay Dannhaus and Carl Gormey. She married the love of her life Henry Nicar in 1968 in Lake Jackson, Texas. After years of working hard she retired from TDCJ/UTMB to spend time with her grandchildren who she loved so much.
