Larry

James Larry Boman, 74, passed away on December 22, 2023. He was born on August 23, 1949 in Houston to James Otha and Bethel Joann (Whittington) Boman.

He married Cathy Collier on March 3, 1969 in Houston, Texas.

Larry enjoyed fishing, playing poker and most of all, spending time with his family. He was a member of the Holiday Lakes Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years. Larry went into the arms of Jesus on December 22, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Those that preceded him in death include his parents, grandmother Lorene ‘Granny’ Boman, brother Danny Boman, brother-in-law Daniel Hartman, sons in law Bobby Smith and Mike Chaney, and his nephew Christopher Boman.

Larry is survived by his wife Cathy Boman, sister Judy Hartman and family, brother Lonnie Mercer (Jeanie) and his children, April Allan (Erick), Shontelle Smith, Bobbie Jo Alfrey (BJ), Georgette Chaney, and Trey Chamberlain (Nacrissa). Grandchildren: James Mann (Corrina), Tyler Allan (Chelsea), Luke Allan, Joshua Smith (Kailyn), Shelby Smith, Trey Alfrey, Jeremy Johnson (Ana), River Alfrey, Jordyn Cooper (Shane), Seth Chaney (Ashley), Samuel Chaney, and Robert Chaney. Great-grandchildren: Treyton Mann, Jaxson Mann, Wyatt Mann, Harley Smith, Ellie Smith, Forest Smith, Tayton Alfrey, Kamryn Allan, Cashton Cooper, Kaelynn Goodrow and Karleigh Taylor. And numerous other family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home.
